Our Mission
Created in 2007, Chemins d'Enfances [Paths of Childhood – CDE] seeks to ensure the well-being of children in difficulty throughout the world. It supports organizations working in this field through methods that have proved effective in the worlds of business and of international solidarity.
Chemins d'Enfances aims:
- To strengthen organizations that work for the greater well-being of children in difficulty
- To develop programs that meet the psychosocial needs of children and their environment, through a comprehensive approach,
- To undertake research on innovative practices for helping children in difficulty and make them known
CDE is a nonprofit French association (law of 1901), an association for youth and education accredited by the Ministry of Health, Youth and Sport. It has been supported by the Fondation de France and the Ministry of Health, Youth and Sport from the beginning.

It adheres to the principles of the United Nations’ 1989 International Convention on the Rights of the Child [pdf, 125KB]. It respects the child as a person as well as the child’s cultural environment, family and community.
